Each day the boot camp starts at 9:00 am sharp and continues until 7:00 pm. We keep you energized with great snacks, sodas, coffee and meals.
Pre-requisites:
The Bootcamp is designed for I.T. help-desk professionals with six months or more of help desk experience, supporting a Windows NT/2000 network. While not required, if you have any of the following certifications, you are most likely ready to take this bootcamp: MCP, Network + or CCNA Certifications.
Course Materials:
Each student will get the Mindworks A+ certification kit. The kit clearly and concisely covers the latest CompTIA testing requirements for core hardware and operating system technologies, combining the two topics into one integrated, hands-on course.
The Mindworks a+ courseware is the best instructor-led courseware available for A+ certification. Over the past five years, thousands of students have used Mindworks a+ certification courseware to successfully prepare for their exams. The student kit includes the following:
Study manual: contains 18 sections. See the day-to-day schedule for a complete listing of the sections and topics. The study manual also includes 13 hands-on, classroom-tested labs.
Test study guide: the Mindworks A+ test study guide is divided into two sections to cover both the core hardware and operating system technologies exams. It contains over 500 questions which cover all of the CompTIA A+ exam objectives in comprehensive detail. The correct answer for each question is discussed in a sidebar paragraph next to the question.
PrelimTM test preparation software: the PrelimTM test preparation software allows students to prepare for the actual certification exams using two different testing modes. Pre-test mode allows students to select the number of questions and provides detailed explanations for each correct answer. Test mode simulates the actual A+ exams by presenting the students with the same number of questions as the CompTIA exams within a 90-minute time frame. Test mode also provides students with a detailed report showing their score for each subject area.

In addition, A+ boot camp students have access to Testout! test-prep software for all the exams. This superb test-prep software is a very close simulation of actual test conditions and test questions. Once you score over 90% on the Testout! test simulation, you are virtually guaranteed to pass the actual test!
Vouchers and Testing:
You will receive 2 test vouchers. No additional payment is necessary for the vouchers. If you have already passed one of the tests, talk to your counselor about a voucher discount.
The Bootcamp will prepare you for the following exams:
Both exams are delivered at the Training Center, which is an authorized VUE Testing Center. Since the exams are adaptive, they are only 30 minutes in length. We will provide a large number of testing stations dedicated to the boot camp. A test administrator will be available throughout the day, and in the evening, to register you for the tests.
